We're a small team of Berber guides from Aourir, the banana village between Agadir and Taghazout. We walked these trails long before anyone called them trails.

Thirty minutes inland from the beach, another Morocco begins — ancient valleys carved by mountain streams, Berber villages built into cliff faces, natural pools hidden among tall palms. Most visitors to Agadir never see it. They stay on the coast, take one crowded minibus to the main Paradise Valley car park, and go home thinking they've seen the mountains.
Tizi Hike started because that felt like a waste. We grew up in these valleys. We know which hour the light hits the canyon walls, where to find shade in the afternoon heat, and which village baker makes the best bread you'll ever eat. So we began mapping the routes we actually use — the quiet ones, the ones with no signposts.
Today we run small-group and private hikes across the whole region: the Paradise Valley guided hike, the El Gouz summit hike at 1,160 m, the hidden canyons near Agadir, and multi-day treks that sleep in Berber homes. Same guides, same trails, every season.

Mohamed — the one you'll be walking with
Mohamed founded Tizi Hike and still leads most of the hikes himself. He was born in Aourir, learned these paths as a kid following goats up the valleys, and has spent years mapping routes that don't appear on any map. He's the reason our groups end up at a swimming pool with nobody else in it while the main valley is packed.
He'll tell you honestly if a trail is too hard for your group, if the pools are low this month, or if you'd have a better day doing something else entirely. Read the reviews and you'll notice his name in most of them — guests come back for the guide, not the itinerary.
