Most visitors reach Paradise Valley by car and stop at the same roadside car park as everyone else. The Paradise Valley e-bike tour does it differently: you ride the 40 km of coastal and mountain road yourself, on an electric mountain bike that flattens the climbs, then leave the bikes and walk the final stretch into the gorge on foot.
The electric assist is the point. These roads climb steadily inland from the coast, and on an ordinary bicycle most people would be exhausted before reaching the valley. With the motor doing the heavy work, the ride is easy to moderate — if you can ride a normal bike, you can do this. What you get in exchange is the whole approach: the argan forest, the Berber villages, the way the landscape changes as you climb away from the Atlantic.

Do I need e-bike experience? ▼
No. If you can ride an ordinary bicycle, you can ride these. Your guide gives a short briefing on the motor and the assist levels before you set off, and the first few kilometres are gentle while you get used to it.
How hard is the ride, really? ▼
Easy to moderate. The route covers 40 km with a steady climb inland, but the electric assist takes the sting out of it — most riders are surprised how manageable it feels. The return leg is largely downhill.
Is there hiking as well as riding? ▼
Yes. You leave the bikes and walk the last stretch into the valley on foot — that section can't be ridden. It's a short, easy walk on a clear path, and it's how you reach the pools.
Are there age or weight limits? ▼
Riders must be at least 16 years old, and the bikes are rated to 136 kg (300 lbs) per rider. If you're booking for a family and want to check whether it suits a particular rider, message us before you book.
What should I wear? ▼
Comfortable clothes you can cycle in, closed shoes, and layers — it's cooler inland than on the coast. Bring swimwear and a towel for the pools, plus sunscreen and sunglasses.
Can I bring my own bike? ▼
The tour includes an electric mountain bike for each rider, maintained and checked before every departure. Keeping the group on the same bikes is what lets us hold a steady pace on the climbs.
What is the cancellation policy? ▼
Cancel at least 24 hours before departure for a full refund. Tours missed without notice are non-refundable, so arrive about 15 minutes before your pickup time.
